Purchased this last week for an upcoming trip to Europe for use as an added measure of security in the hotel rooms we are staying in. Received very quick working with Amazon Prime.
Tested this portable lock in my home with 2 completely different doors and functions wonders! With this lock on, it will make it extremely tough for an intruder to come in to your space. Although the red piece is plastic it is reinforced with a metal plate underneath it which makes it really solid! This makes the whole transportable lock made of metal! Once installed, it was troublesome for me to go in the home. I believe that I would have to kick the door in to jar this portable lock loose.
Amazing additional measure of safety! I'll sleep far better realizing that even if an intruder manage to pick the locks of my hotel area, they would have to kick the door in to open it with this transportable lock in location!

When it fits, it supplies a sturdy barrier, swift to put on or take away. I would like to see a new version of this for hotels, and some modify that would make it less complicated to use on "imperfect" doors.
