I bought this Camera package for a 2nd house. I was impressed with the size of the hard drive and the amount of record time that was offered (2.five Yrs). I figured if I got have of that it would be great. We got 6 DAYS and that's with the program set to record motion only. The difficulty I discovered is at Night bugs set it off. And if you set the sensativity low enough that bugs do not set it off it won't pickup a human. (not really good) So it ends up recording all night and thats with only 9 of the 16 cameras hooked up. So setting up alarms to go to email would be a nightmare. it woudl send all night.
We did have difficulty with the brackets not holding but I had no trouble getting replacements by means of buyer service.
Picture high quality is Wonderful and we had everthing we needed to do the job.
Overall, I am quite satisfied with this item, even so it does have problems with the mounting bracket. The mounting bracket has an adjustible elbo that is quite straightforward to screwup. When you adjust the camera to your desired field of view, you may very well find that you can't tighten down the mount to hold the camera steady. I have mounted 11 camera's and had a troublesome time with the mounts on 4 of them. I have identified that if you are rather gentle and try not to move the elbo at all you can get a superior tight mount that will not swing in the wind.
